I bought them as gifts
I got two packages of the prank shock pens one pack works but the pen in the other pack doesn’t work. I would like a replacement pen before I can give a review please. Thank you. Until I get a replacement I can only give 3 stars.

You should have seen her jump!
I used this on one of my co-workers. She had no clue what she was getting into. It was fun to see her reaction. My other co-worker was a little suspicious because she said the pen felt to light. The shock is very shocking.

Very realistic appearing
I’ve alre accidentally shocked myself this pen looks so much like a usual pen. The shock will definitely get your attention but it’s not too powerful. The writing aspect and function isn’t very good, and I failed to get the marker working right, but otherwise I’m happy with my purchase.

but not as good as before and you had to move the barrel …
It worked right away but then my brother dropped it and it cracked, it still worked after, but not as good as before and you had to move the barrel around to make it worker harder. Can I please get a new one?

Cheap
I tried these right out of the box and literally couldn’t feel anything. I was looking to see if maybe there was a spot I could change your battery and there’s not. In my opinion, these are garbage. Too bad, I thought this would have been a great laugh.

The pen is the best..
The pen is the best….good shock given….lots of laughs from this pen. The marker on the other hand is not as strong and doesn’t perform immediately…you have to hold it the right way..just not really worth the effort.

Missing product
The package was in intact, but both pens were missing.In a second purchase the marker worked, but the pen didn’t. My father wants these and he keeps asking me to write a review for him. -_-

Waste of money
I accidentally ordered two, both sets came with nearly dead batteries. I replaced the batteries and it works better but I had to glue it back together. These are cheap and crappy, better off spending less on a better design with one pen. The “marker” in this set is so chinsy that my 3 year old knew it was suspicious before he tried.

Not worth the money
Marker didn’t even work which I wasn’t upset about since I bought it for the pen, but the pen is such a low shock that when people do it they just kind of ignore it. The pen I used to have would make people fling it across the room when it zapped them.

More than just a little buzz-pranksters delight
My 9 year old son asked for this for Christmas and was very excited to open it. I was worried it wouldn’t work as things like this are always a gamble. Fortunately both pens worked as described. My son and his victims all agree that the buzz is definitely uncomfortable so be aware this is not for wimpy kids or to be done to those who aren’t ok with getting a jolt. He’s happy and says to give it 5 stars.

My son loved them!
I bought this set of prank pens for my 10 year old son, and they were a huge hit. The “shock” they give you is a pretty good one, though not enough to hurt. It is a lot more than I thought it would be though! He had a great time “pranking” the whole family, and they aren’t showing any signs of wearing out.

Only ink pen works, but really cheap looking
Well marker doesn’t work at all. Not even the regular marker tip. Looks like it’s coming apart or something. Very cheap looking, so obvious to anyone something odd with marker.Pen is cheap looking too, but it works like it should. The pen writes like it should too.

Tricked quite a few coworkers with the pen! The marker worked once and then stopped. I keep the pen in the pen holder on my desk and just wait for the next person to reach for it. Its gets them every time.

These are amazing. Everyone that used it fell for it. Best shocking stuff out there for pranks. The only thing I didn’t like was that the marker literally says shock marker on it but I just used a black marker and crossed that out.

Good prank, kinda pricey
The pen works great, pranked all my co-workers with it and it even looks like you can change the batteries. The pen does feel light but looks realistic and you can write with it as well so when co workers see me writing with it they fall for it every time.. I give it 3 stars tho because the marker did not work at all, not even a light shock and the price was a bit steep

Fun product, Gagster.com great customer service!
This is a really fun and funny product, sold by Gagster. My son bought it for himself and he and his sister have been shocking each other silly. They are 8 and 11, and they shock isn’t too much for them–but just enough! They do actually write, though the fake marker tip is hard plastic (can’t tell from a distance). Best of all, I had a small problem with the pen (didn’t screw properly to write) and my son was devastated since he spent his own money. Going through Amazon would have taken so much time, so I went directly to Gagster.com and emailed them through the site — they emailed back the same day and helped us right away. Very personable, polite, etc. Really nice, customer-service oriented, which I appreciate. We are happy customers.

Pen works great. Marker not so much.
The pen feels a bit cheap but works like a charm. It has been getting passed around the office shocking various people but mostly the pen stealers. The market says “shock pen” on the label. You cannot take it off because the contacts are on it that make it work. This does not seem to work well at all. Good points for the pen. Removed a star for the marker.

Doesn’t seem to be as strong as the one I had as a kid.
Perfect gag gift for the office. We leave the pen on a toolbox next to a halfway completed tic tac toe game. The “marker” doesn’t work as well as the pen and the pen is a little weak compared to shocker pens in the past but still a fun product.

Good idea for a product
1 pen is better than the other, but Doesn’t shock exactly. Wish it was a tad stronger, just doesn’t actually feel like a shock or even startle…. Most people my son tried it on didn’t even realize it was supposed to be a prank because it “shocks” so lightly, if that… Great concept though

Funny
Delivery was great . The shock pen works and is very funny . The shock marker really doesn’t work and is not worth buying . However the pen works fine and made it worth not sending back . This package comes with 2 items one item is great the other is not .

Broken right out of the box
As soon as I opened the container, the black pen fell apart and was extremely loose in the middle and did not operate. The blue pen did not operate and the side where you should be able to write with was broken and stuck inside the cap. Both inoperative

This is a funny gift. It’s a novelty item
This is a funny gift. It’s a novelty item. I bought this because my son is always taking my pens and losing them. Even when I bought super pink girly ones he sees its one I’m using and thinks its the gold standard for pens and takes them. So I saw this and figured it would be a good laugh. First, it’s an actual pen. It writes just like a pen. It’s a little weighty but nothing, unlike a good solid $$$ pen. The pen does give a nice shock. If you’re not expecting it (even if you are) the shock definitely catches you off guard. Doesn’t hurt. It’s painless.

The perfect prank
Both work great, although good luck tricking anyone with the marker since it says ‘Shock Marker’ right on it, lol. I knew that from the pictures, though, and purchased this for the pen. It’s exactly what I wanted (and I guess I missed the part that said it actually writes – so that’s even better)! My teen is constantly playing pranks on me so I finally decided: ‘If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em!’ Got just the reaction I was hoping for when I asked him to please add something to my grocery list (that was conveniently laying on the computer desk with the shock pen). ;D He won’t stop playing with it now and looks forward to getting back to school eventually with a whole new assortment of pranks, haha! Definitely the best prank item that I’ve purchased so far!

A “shockingly” good buy
The package arrived well presented and with good instructions. Being a practical joker, I couldn’t wait to try it out. I took them to work and had a blast with them. The shock was just enough to get somebody’s attention, but didn’t hurt them. Excellent reactions, definitely fun to use, and the pen and marker wrote well. Definitely a buy again item.

Better than expected
Very fun prank. The shock is strong which I wasn’t expecting. The pen is real looking but cheap feeling. The second pen I haven’t used yet but my kids said it was just as good. These pens were a lot better then I was expecting. Watching my son zap all the family members on Christmas was hilarious.

Not Worth It
This is the epitome of novelty store price markup. The toys are light weight, not even close to the real weight of a pen and marker. Made of cheap plastic, doesn’t shock every time, unless your hand is just right on the marker. The pen shocks but a static shock from the carpet hits more; might as well buy some pvc, thick socks, and shuffle on the carpet for 30minutes, then hide and touch your unsuspecting victim, you will have way better results for way less. This product is best sold to tourists in a funky prank toy store.

The blue marker worked great, got a few good laughs out of it. A huge negative as others stated, was that the label on the side of the marker itself says “shock marker.” The pen’s ink side worked well, but it did not shock at all. It was pretty disappointing. I will be sending the product back for a refund.

Your inner child wants this
My husband is an incorrigible prankster. So I got these to have a little fun back one day. He thought it was hilarious how I surprised him with it and insisted on taking them to work the next week. Thankfully he still has a job and a very understanding boss! It was fun still.

Best Office Prank EVER!
My entire office is literally laughing so hard, we are crying! I work with a really fun group of people and bought these pens to the office. I put one in the pen jar on the desk and just observed people getting shocked – this may have been the best morning of my life. The shock is pretty intense, so it’s definitely geared toward much older kids – like the packaging says, 14+.
